Why Choose WPA?

Goal-Oriented Individual Development

Each year, students will be asked to write a goal related to personal development that may explore areas such as personal health, career exploration, skill acquisition, or community service.

Classical Education

Emphasis on teaching students how to think critically and communicate effectively. This rigorous curriculum promotes intellectual development, encouraging students to engage with great works of literature, philosophy, and history, and to develop a strong foundation in the liberal arts.

Personalized Instruction

Small class sizes enable teachers to provide individualized attention to each student. This allows for tailored instruction that meets the unique needs and learning styles of each child, fostering a deeper understanding of the material. Teachers can quickly identify and address any academic or personal challenges students may face.

Authentic Application of Instruction

At WPA, the lessons and supplementary activities apply to scenarios and examples that allow for meaningful application of what students are learning in order to aid with understanding and retention of the material taught.

Dynamic Learning Environments

Instructional methods such as active learning, peer teaching, and the integration of technology can facilitate the effective transfer of knowledge, ensuring that learners not only acquire information but also develop the ability to apply it in real-world contexts.

Engaged and Qualified Faculty

Our teachers are highly qualified and passionate about their subjects. They are dedicated to their students' success and can provide mentorship and guidance both in and out of the classroom. The close relationships between students and teachers can inspire a love of learning and intellectual curiosity.

College and Career Readiness

WPA offers advising for the right courses to help students explore new and established interests as well as to prepare for college and university admissions requirements. This includes hands-on learning about how the admissions process works and helps in learning how to effectively choose a major, choose appropriate schools, write a personal statement, and more.
